The Fine Print, As Told By a Cat
Hi. I'm Gromlee. I have opinions.
This is a comic strip about a curious cat, a grandfather still catching up on the 21st century, a granddaughter who's given up explaining it to him, and a stuffed dog who has seen things. I narrate most of it. Pip witnesses the rest.

Things Frank doesn't understand
How This Started
Origin StoryEvery family has that one member who quietly judges everyone else while eating out of a bowl on the floor. In this family, that's me. Frank raised Quin's mother, Quin now takes Frank to the mall, and somewhere in the middle of all that, I showed up, claimed the good chair, and started keeping notes.
Pip came with the house. Nobody remembers buying him. He doesn't say much, but he's an excellent listener, which is more than I can say for Frank.
"Someone has to document this family. I nominated myself. There was no vote." — Gromlee

Rules of the House
As Enforced By Me- The center chair belongs to whoever sits in it with the most confidence.
- If Frank says "I found it online," assume he means a phone call.
- Quin's texts do not count as "staying in touch," according to Frank. This is a running dispute.
- Gifts must include a receipt. This is non-negotiable and was ratified by Pip's silence, which I take as agreement.
- Bring Your Cat to the Mall Day is a real holiday. I have the newspaper clipping to prove it. I also wrote the newspaper clipping.
Ask Gromlee
Frequently WonderedIs this based on a real family?
Loosely. The mall trips are real. The Vice President Meal, sadly, is not.
Does Pip ever talk?
No. And frankly, the strip is better for it.
New strips daily?
Most mornings. I supervise the production schedule from the windowsill.
